PFA violation
SHAMOKIN - Jesse Alan James Bean, 19, of Muncy, has been charged with violating a protection from abuse order (PFA) filed against him by Deanna Troi King.
Bean is charged by Trooper Matthew Lada of state police at Milton with sending a text message to King in Watsontown between April 24 and April 29, which violated the order.
PFA
SHAMOKIN - Cpl. Jarrod Scandle charged Kevin Houser, 49, of Watsontown, with violating a protection from abuse (PFA) order.
According to a criminal complaint, Houser is accused of sending 45 text messages to his former girlfriend, Michelle Slavinsky, on April 18 in Shamokin, which violated the PFA Slavinsky filed against him.
Fires gun
KULPMONT - Robert Leroy Persing III, 22, of 1 Clarion St., Shamokin, has been charged by Patrolman Joshua Pastucka with discharging a firearm into an occupied structure, terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person, disorderly conduct, criminal mischief and violating a borough ordinance relating to an April 14 disturbance at 919 Chestnut St., Apt. A.
Persing is accused of firing a shot from a handgun into the floor of the apartment in an effort to stop his mother, Patricia Betz, from fighting with his girlfriend, Brooke Mulac.
Police said the disturbance occurred at 2:30 p.m.
Blazer hits farm equipment
JACKSON TOWNSHIP - Alexander Michael Douglas Dicicco, 19, of Herndon, escaped injury early Tuesday morning when a 1999 gold Chevrolet Blazer he was driving at the intersection of Erdly Church Road and Applebutter Road exited the road and hit farm equipment.
The Blazer sustained extensive damage to its front bumper, grill and hood and was towed from the scene.
The 1 a.m. accident remains under investigation.
Public drunkenness
MONROE TOWNSHIP - Jona Jean Hughes, 24, of 4685 N. Susquehanna Trail, Shamokin Dam, was cited by state police at Selinsgrove for public drunkenness relating to an incident at 12:04 a.m. Wednesday on Mill Road near Routes 11-15.
Police said Hughes, who was seen walking while highly intoxicated, passed out near the side of the road and was transported to Sunbury Community Hospital.
Car crash
RUSH TOWNSHIP - Robert D. Kolody, 63, of Shamokin, was cited by state police at Stonington for failure to drive in a single lane relating to a one-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon on Snydertown Road.
Police reported Kolody, who escaped injury in the 2:50 p.m. accident, was driving north when he attempted to negotiate a turn to the left. Police said the 2002 Ford F-250 truck exited the road to the left and struck an embankment before rolling over and coming to rest on its left side.
Theft charges
STONINGTON - Robert Joseph Gair, 32, of 612 N. Franklin St., Shamokin, was charged by Trooper Barry Wooten of state police at Stonington with theft, receiving stolen property and criminal conspiracy relating to the Aug. 30 theft of a 2001 Volkswagen Jetta owned by Nicole Snyder from Route 225 in Trevorton.
Brandon Shane Herb, 23, an inmate at SCI-Frackville and formerly of Shamokin, was previously charged in the theft.
